How to become a page...
The Kansas Legislative Page Program is a great opportunity to give your child a first-hand experience of state government.

Each session students from all over the state come to the Capitol in Topeka to volunteer for a day for their legislator. The day starts at 8:15 AM with a quick tour of the building, a swearing-in ceremony, and pictures with the Governor and their legislator. Students get a lunch break and generally page until about 4:00 PM. Parking passes are available for a parent or guardian driving the student to Topeka.

Your child needs to be at least twelve years of age, and the program is generally designed for middle school or early high school students. I receive an alotment each session of days I can host a page from my district. Generally, I only receive around 10 days, so I fill these spots quickly. The session is from the second Monday in January usually through the end of May.
